Location : We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations for T-Mobile Park , home of the Seattle Mariners.

Since the Inaugural Game on July 15, 1999, T-Mobile Park has gained a reputation locally, regionally and nationally as a terrific setting for baseball and a great place for baseball fans. Sweeping views of Seattle's downtown skyline, breathtaking sunsets over Puget Sound, combined with excellent views of game action from all angles give fans at T-Mobile Park an experience unequalled in Major League Baseball.

Principal Function :

The Director of Operations serves as a strategic partner and to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager and is a visible, influential member of the unit-level Leadership Team. The Director of Operations oversees and works closely with department heads in premium services, culinary, concessions, and warehouse. The Director of Operations leads efforts to develop and deliver high-quality food and beverage experiences for both game days and special events. They play a key role in hiring, training, and mentoring staff-particularly within a union environment-and are responsible for maintaining positive employee relations and fostering an exceptional workplace culture. This individual collaborates cross-functionally, plans operations against forecasted business volumes, and implements strategies that drive guest satisfaction, maximize revenue, and control costs, all while ensuring compliance with company policies and union guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership of all food and beverage operations, including premium services, culinary, warehouse, and concessions.
  • Lead operations planning and execution based on forecasted attendance and event specifics, ensuring operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all operational areas.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor business strategies to drive and maximize revenue from food, beverage, and merchandise sales.

Qualifications/Skills :

  • 3-5 years of operations leadership experience in a complex food service environment.
  • Experience working in a stadium, arena, or other sports environment.
  • Union experience.
  • Up-to-date certifications for safe food handling and responsible alcoholic beverage service.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with strong background in P&L management; Previous experience in developing operating budgets and established history of meeting or exceeding established financial objectives.
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience overseeing and administering point-of-sale (POS) systems, including setup, maintenance, and reporting functions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management; Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.

Other Requirements :

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
